Our Story

We grew up in the sunshine and saltwater of South Florida—from the laid-back vibe of Key West to the vibrant streets of Miami, all the way up to Boca Raton and a little “Surf Shack” in Fort Pierce called Island Surf Retreat.

Surfing, BMX, and skateboarding weren’t just hobbies for us; they were a lifestyle. Some folks might call them extreme sports, but for us, they were just the way we had fun and lived life.

In my early years, I raced BMX and even found myself at the top of the national points leaderboard. When we weren’t out on the track, you could find us skating down off-ramps, building makeshift ramps to launch ourselves into canals, or getting crushed by waves at the beach. It was all about the thrill and the freedom.

That's how Surf Ghetto was born—a brand for the regular beachgoers, die-hard surfers, BMXers, and skateboarders who embrace a laid-back, stress-free lifestyle. We wanted something that resonated with people who just want to have fun and don’t take life too seriously. The kind of people you meet on the beach, at a local skatepark, or riding through the streets, all sharing the same sense of freedom and adventure.

We’re not a big corporate machine churning out mass-produced clothing. We do small batches, high-quality apparel that stays true to our roots—soft, comfortable, and sweatshop-free. All of our shirts are made in the USA, and we keep the prices reasonable. No one likes stiff, itchy shirts. Just the good stuff that fits your vibe.
